In this movie, one important scene in the film was right from the beginning. There's a riot going on outside of the United States Embassy in Iran and the workers are trying to keep calm. Once the Iranians open up the gate, everyone starts shuffling to destroy all information. They shred papers, burn files, and even destroy audios. The military there stall for time while the workers get the information destroyed. After mostly everything gets destroyed, the Iranians come and take the workers for hostage. All but 6.
This scene is definitely important because it shows how everything starts. The riot showed how angry the Iranians were and it showed in detail what they would do. It was so vivid and even I got a little scared just from watching it. Also, all the shredded information later leads to another important scene in the later part of the movie so, watching them take care of the information was a big part. And then, at the end of the scene when he takes a worker and pushes her and takes her glasses off. He proceeds with putting a blindfold on her. And while everything is happening 6 workers escape. The whole scene was just so much happening at once. It was overwhelming.
