There are many different ways to break up with someone. Some prefer to do it face to face and some prefer to do it via text message. Which do you prefer? Do you think it's acceptable to break up with someone via text message?
In my opinion, I don't think it's acceptable to break up with someone via text message because it's rude. Why couldn't someone just come out and say it? Are they scared or do they really just don't care? It would make me feel like that person didn't care about me. They didn't consider how I'd feel. It's also not a good way to end a relationship. Breaking up via text message might end your relationship on a bad note. It's always good to end relationships on good terms. Also, by talking things out face to face, you'll be able to understand one another more. I would just feel like that person is a coward because they couldn't even break up with me face to face. It's understandable only if that person rarely gets to see you in person or if it's threatening for you to do it face to face. Otherwise, I feel it's rude and unacceptable.

  1. I completely agree, breaking up over text is very rude. I like that you included possible exceptions though like if the person is threatening.

  2. I agree too, it is super rude. And I also agree that there is exception when it comes to being scared that you might be harmed. but definitely not over text.
